Over the years it's become widely accepted that mainstream medicine is not the only means by which to derive treatment for illnesses but that there are alternative and complementary forms of treatment for supporting health and healing illness. I'm not saying that one should forego medical treatment or the advice of their primary medical physician, what I am saying is that mainstream healthcare can be complemented with alternative means of maintaining one's health.
